When precision matters, every micrometre counts – and every decision. With the launch of its new DEFENCE business unit, Chrosziel introduces advanced digital testing technology for optical aiming systems in safety- and mission-critical environments. For the first time, government agencies, manufacturers, and system providers can validate optical systems reproducibly, transparently, and within minutes – with fully certified results.

TPA – Target Precision Analyzer

Reliable optics testing in under two minutes

The first product of the new DEFENCE unit is the Target Precision Analyzer (TPA) – a compact, digital system developed specifically for the qualification of riflescopes and optical aiming devices. It automatically measures:

  • Magnification

  • Dioptre

  • Field of view

  • Parallax

  • Reticle position

In less than two minutes, the TPA produces a comprehensive inspection report – fully automated, contactless, and suitable for production, quality assurance, and field deployment.

Three Key Audiences. Three Tangible Benefits.

For Government Agencies

Objective validation beyond visual checks.
The TPA provides standardised inspection protocols for procurement, storage, or in-service verification. Authorities gain a reliable, traceable, and legally defensible foundation for evaluating optical systems.

For Manufacturers

Documented quality at the source.
By integrating the TPA as an automated end-of-line testing solution, manufacturers enhance process reliability and strengthen customer confidence – supported by consistent, certified documentation.

For System Integrators

System-wide added value.
Platform providers benefit from seamlessly embedded test data. The TPA certifies optical module performance and contributes directly to full system qualification.

Chrosziel DEFENCE

More than a product – a platform for precision

The TPA is just the beginning. Chrosziel has set out a clear roadmap for its DEFENCE division: future solutions will include mobile testing units, calibration systems, and digital interfaces for integration into broader platforms. The aim: to make optical reliability measurable anywhere – from the lab to the front line.

“We don’t just view the defence sector as a market – we see it as a technological responsibility. Our measurement systems create trust by enabling objective validation where it is often still missing today,”
says Marcel Groezinger, Managing Director of Chrosziel GmbH.

Built on Experience

From camera optics to combat optics

For over 50 years, Chrosziel has been synonymous with optical precision – from professional cinematography to industrial testing. Expanding into defence is a natural evolution, transferring proven expertise to the most demanding environments.

Trust You Can Measure

Chrosziel DEFENCE – Optical precision where it matters most.

With this new business unit, Chrosziel invites government agencies, manufacturers, and system partners to set new benchmarks in the quality assurance of optical aiming systems – collaboratively, transparently, and with measurable impact.
