Product Overview
The Chrosziel CDM-UNI-Z2 is a servo-driven zoom unit designed to adapt virtually any manual zoom lens to remote zoom control – giving camera operators broadcast-style control in cinema-style setups. Mounted via a standard 15mm rod, the motor engages either with the built-in 0.8 pitch gear of cine lenses or via the included Flexi Gear Ring for ENG and photo lenses.
The Zoomer interfaces seamlessly with Sony’s multifunction handgrips on FX-series cameras or with LANC-based controllers from third parties. Once connected, users can calibrate, assign zoom direction, and select between six professional zoom behavior modes (e.g., documentary, live production, photo lens compensation).
The device draws power via D-Tap or 10–30V Lemo-compatible input and performs auto-calibration on start-up. With its intuitive control interface and comprehensive camera integration, the Zoomer is a versatile tool for DPs and OB crews who want reliable and responsive zoom functionality on any set.
