Product Developer - Designer CAD (m/f/d)

Job description:


From the idea to series production - development of new precision-engineered products as accessories for cameras in the interface mechatronics and electronics is your task in cooperation with electronics team and designer. 

As a direct contact person, you evaluate and specify product details in direct communication with the user, learn about application-specific features and focus on prototyping. 
Close contact with our users and exchanges about products at trade fairs, product presentations or via modern means of communication make the job varied. In the project management software, the project is systematically planned with individual tasks and scheduling, and the development progress is recorded in detail. If necessary, you coordinate external developers. 

For prototype construction, you communicate directly with suppliers and carry out orders. You will make adjustments to designs based on supplier feedback directly and thus learn about new production conditions and materials. You will carry out prototype construction in collaboration with production and maintain appropriate adjustments in the drawings.

In the in-house inventory control system, you create parts lists and trigger pre-series production directly with suppliers via the ordering system. You will store assembly instructions and exploded drawings for series production.


Requirements:


  • Completed studies in electronics, mechatronics, precision engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable as well as professional experience.
  • In addition to experience in the use of CAD software (ideally Solidworks), you have a sound knowledge of materials and manufacturing, in particular milling, turning, casting, grinding and lapping techniques as well as 3D printing
  • Knowledge of systematic hardware development such as project planning, development methods and quality assurance
  • Experience with wireless boards and interconnect systems as well as signal routing and displays
  • Documentation experience - drawing management - versioning
  • Experienced, field-proven English language skills
