By using a Sony PXW-FS5 or a Sony PXW-FS7 camera with a SWIT battery a D-Tap to a (straight or angled) Lemo compatible 5-Pin power cable is used (Chrosziel order numbers: MN-AB-A with angled Lemo compatible socket / MN-AB with straight Lemo compatible socket). The two Jack-Jack cables are forwarding the control commands from the hand grip.
If e.g. a Panasonic Varicam, Sony PMW-F5 or Sony PMW-F55 are used a combined cable with power and start / stop is required, like a Hirose 4-Pin to a (straight or angled) Lemo compatible 5-Pin cable (Chrosziel order numbers: F55-A2-PCAM-A with angled Lemo socket / F55-A2-PCAM with straight Lemo compatible socket). Also, the two Jack-Jack cables are forwarding the control commands from the hand grip.
Also, Chrosziel offers a variety of power cables with straight and angled plugs for all types of camera power out sockets and batteries including camera run / stop functionality.
_____________________________________________________Chrosziel CDM-XK-Z Zoom Servo Motor: zoom modes
For freedom of creativity the operator may choose from four different zoom modes: EB / Documentary Mode, Live / Hardcut Mode, Silent, and Direct Mode.
EB / Documentary ModeDesigned for long and smooth zoom drives with the CDM-LWZ3-Z it offers slow creeping zoom transitions while keeping the motive perfectly framed.Silent ModeTo reduce the sound of the zoom servo drive the maximum speed of its motor is limited to 40 percent making the setup almost inaudible.Live / Hardcut ModeTo catch the best moments, the Live / Hardcut Mode is useful. It uses 80 percent of the maximum speed capacity of the motor offering fast zoom drives but with Soft Ramping.Direct ModeThe Direct Mode finally uses the full speed capacity of the Zoom Servo Drive. The LANC commands are implemented instantaneously without ramping and smooth transitions. Useful for B camera operators catching snaps shots from the concert.______________________________________________________________How to change zoom modes
You can choose the different modes by pressing the zoom rocker for round about 25 seconds, then the green LED flashes very fast while changing the zoom mode and after that it blinks 1, 2, 3 or 4 times* – depends on the zoom mode you chose (* 1 = EB / Documentary / 2 = Silent / 3 = Live / Hard Cut / 4 = Direct). To cycle through these all you need to do is hold the zoom rocker down one way for a couple of seconds to switch to the next mode, and the other way, hold to reverse.

Play-Free mounting on the Tripod PlateThe QuickLock Plate 401-150 locking mechanism consists of three parts: movable unlocking bolt at the front,fork-shaped locking slide in the middleretractable locking bolt at the rearTo attach a camera with V-mount adapter to the QuickLock Plate, push it into the V-shaped notch on the front and pull the locking lever to the right. The following happens: Unlocking bolt and locking slide move forwards / left, the locking bolt downwards.
Compared to average standard Quick Release Plates or VCT Tripod Plates (mostly without retractable locking bolts), the Chrosziel locking mechanism with retractable locking bolt has play-freely clamps to secure even worn out rear mounting mechanisms located on the bottom of the camera.
For cine cameras equipped only with tripod screw threads at the bottom , a Chrosziel lightweight support (such as 401-EVA1) enables mounting the camera security to the quick release plate. For ENG cameras, rod support can be added via a Chrosziel lightweight support (like 401-50 for Sony) in combination with the QuickLock Plate.

The Chrosziel Meta Mount is a Sony E camera to PL lens “hot mount”
adapter with metadata communication. Each mount has the required pin contacts
necessary to transmit lens metadata through to the camera and conversely the
contacts provide lens control through a 12-pin Hirose out connection to an ENG
lens.
When the Meta Mount is used with cine lenses with LDS or Cooke/i Data
the metadata such as iris setting, focus distance and zoom focal length are
transmitted through the adapter and appear in the viewfinder, on the monitor
and are recorded in the video file for use in post processing.
When the Meta Mount is used with an ENG servo motor-controlled broadcast
lens the Focus/Iris/Zoom servo’s can be controlled through the camera and are
compatible with the Sony FX9 / FX6 / FX3 hand grips, RCP or camera’s web GUI.
This allows for easy and full control of an ENG broadcast lens through a Sony E
mount camera.
The Meta Mount is shimmable with the included shim set for the E-mount.Key Features:

The CDM-LWZ3-Z2 is designed for the Zeiss Lightweight Zoom LWZ 21-100 mm/T2.9-3.9 T zoom lens (ZEISS LWZ.3). With the Zoom Servo Drive Chrosziel addresses camera operators working in the broadcast, documentary, and related sectors offering a reasonably priced device enabling creative processes that may be impossible while pulling zoom manually.
The Zoom Servo Drive adds only indispensable weight to the setup. It contains one digital servo motor, the gear and a PCB with CPU in one single housing. The mounting of the Zoom Servo Drive makes the operator’s workflow comfortable. Just three captive screws are needed to mount it onto the Zeiss Lightweight Zoom (LWZ.3).

Controlled via Sony smart grip or any other LANC hand grip
Until today, zoom servo drives were operated either by the inbuilt zoom rocker or external zoom devices. A second handgrip controls the camera settings or user commands. Both units are separated from each other and cannot be operated by one single hand.
With the CDM-LWZ3-Z2 Chrosziel was able to unify both functionalities into one single unit. Supported are the smart grips of the Sony PXW-FS5 and Sony PXW-FS7 or any LANC compatible zoom rocker.
For operation the power cable is connected and the two Jack cables with the handgrip and the camera. Once powered the zoom servo drive calibrates automatically the end stops of the lens. To further support the operator’s piece of mind Chrosziel implemented the so called “Soft Ramping”. Instead of having the zooming suddenly and unexpectedly stop, the zoom gently slows down the movement of the lens at the end stops.
By using a LANC device the operator may build his or her setup, like shoulder, Steadicam or Gimbal applications. Thus, the CDM-LWZ3-Z2 makes an all-day companion for the Zeiss Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 21-100 mm/T2.9-3.9 T zoom lens (ZEISS LWZ.3) and gives the camera operator the freedom of creativity needed.

Take four: zoom servo drive zoom modes
For freedom of creativity the operator may choose from four different zoom modes: EB / Documentary Mode, Live / Hardcut Mode, Silent, and Direct Mode.
EB / Documentary Mode
Designed for long and smooth zoom drives with the CDM-LWZ3-Z2 it offers slow creeping zoom transitions while keeping the motive perfectly framed.
Silent Mode
To reduce the sound of the zoom servo drive the maximum speed of its motor is limited to 40 percent making the setup almost inaudible.
Live / Hardcut Mode
To catch the best moments, the Live / Hardcut Mode is useful. It uses 80 percent of the maximum speed capacity of the motor offering fast zoom drives but with Soft Ramping.
Direct Mode
The Direct Mode finally uses the full speed capacity of the Zoom Servo Drive. The LANC commands are implemented instantaneously without ramping and smooth transitions. Useful for B camera operators catching snaps shots from the concert.
How to switch zoom modes
You can choose the different modes by pressing the zoom rocker for round about 25 seconds, then the green LED flashes very fast while changing the zoom mode and after that it blinks 1, 2, 3 or 4 times* – depends on the zoom mode you chose (* 1 = EB / Documentary / 2 = Silent / 3 = Live / Hard Cut / 4 = Direct).
