NAB Show 2011: Chrosziel introduces R1 Mount for the new Sony SR-R1 Memory Recorder
In close collaboration with Sony, Chrosziel has developed the R1 Mount. If you are looking for a simple, secure and flexible way of mounting the SR-R1 Memory Recorder, and your camera is not compatible with Sony's standard battery mount, Chrosziel offers the perfect solution.
The Chrosziel R1 Mount will be exhibited at Sony's NAB booth, in tandem with the new Sony SR-R1 Memory Recorder.
There are two versions of the Chrosziel R1 Mount available: Version 401-R115 fits 15 mm support rods while version 401-R119 is made for 19 mm tubes on bridge plates or quick-lock plates. The R1 Mount is attached to the support rods sticking out behind the camera.
Chrosziel's R1 Mount allows for fixing the Memory Recorder onto the camera at every position imaginable. What gives the R1 Mount its flexibility are the double-sided gear teeth in the central joint and the sliding base plate, which allows for mounting the Recorder with the display either on the left or on the right side.
Thus, you can have it every way you want it: Go „low mode“ whenever you prefer to have the center of gravity at a low point. Go „high mode“ whenever you need clear space below the support rods. And go „balance mode“ when you need the Recorder as a counter-weight on your shoulder.
No additional tools are necessary to remove the base plate and the Recorder from the camera. Bolts secure each slot on the base plate, making sure that nothing falls off even if the locking screw is loosened.
